Hi, I’m Angela, the creator behind Spoonies.
Spoonies was born from lived experience.
Like so many people navigating chronic illness, I spent years trying to explain symptoms that others couldn’t always see. The exhaustion, the brain fog, the flares, the frustration of feeling disconnected from my own body, and the constant balancing act of trying to make it through each day with limited energy. I found myself searching for tools that felt practical, supportive, and compassionate, but most of what I found felt either overly clinical or completely disconnected from the reality of chronic illness.
So I started creating my own.
What began as a personal need slowly grew into something much bigger: a space designed specifically for people who are tired of feeling overlooked, overwhelmed, or misunderstood in their health journey.
At Spoonies, our goal is simple: to create thoughtful tools that help people better understand their bodies, care for themselves gently, and feel less alone along the way.
Every journal, tracker, and resource is designed with intention. Not just to “fill pages,” but to help uncover patterns, encourage reflection, support emotional wellness, and create moments of clarity in seasons that often feel uncertain.
Our flagship Symptom Tracker was created to help people identify triggers, notice symptom patterns, track flares, and better understand how daily life impacts their health over time. But more than that, it was designed to feel comforting and approachable, something you actually want to return to, even on difficult days.
You’ll also notice a strong emphasis throughout our books on the READ • SPEAK • WRITE method, a gentle, multi-sensory approach that encourages reflection, engagement, and deeper connection, especially for those navigating fatigue or brain fog.
Spoonies is more than a journal brand.
It is a growing community rooted in compassion, honesty, encouragement, and hope.
Whether you are newly diagnosed, deep in the middle of your journey, supporting a loved one, or simply searching for tools that help you feel seen, I’m so glad you’re here.
Thank you for being part of this story.
With love,
Angela
